Know what your Safari Day look Like
Your safari day starts early… like really early. While most people are still hitting snooze, you’re already in the jeep with a hot cup of tea, heading into the jungle of Tadoba National Park or Kanha National Park. The morning is full of excitement… fresh pugmarks, alarm calls, and everyone suddenly becoming very alert for that one striped celebrity.
Safari Timing
Morning : Entry 6:00 am – Exit 10:30 am.
We leave early, right after a quick cup of tea or coffee at the lodge, just enough to wake you up before the jungle does the rest.
Entry and exit timings can vary slightly from park to park, usually by about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the parks and season. But here’s the important thing: we head out about 45 minutes before the official entry time. Why? Because being early matters. In some gates and zones, being the earliest in line can be really rewarding. The jungle is freshest, the tracks are untouched, and your chances of catching early movement go up. In short, the early bird doesn’t just get the worm… it often catches the tiger.
All lodges provide a packed breakfast, but honestly, we rarely stop for it. A breakfast break can easily take 45 minutes, and that’s prime wildlife time you don’t want to miss. I’d rather keep moving in the jungle and come back to the lodge for a relaxed meal later. Skipping a sandwich is fine, missing a tiger isn’t.
Sometimes the jungle goes quiet and the light turns harsh, so instead of pushing it, we head back a little early. That time is better spent at the lodge, reviewing shots, editing images, and sharing stories over a relaxed break, some rest (or a quick nap, no judgment). We keep the schedule flexible because in the jungle, timing is everything.
Safari Timing
Evening: Entry: 3:00 pm; Exit: 6:30 pm.
Afternoon safari timings also vary from park to park and season to season, usually by around 30 minutes. The beneficial part? There’s no rush to be first in line, so we can start a bit easy, take our time, and head out relaxed for the evening drive.
Then round two begins. In the evening, when the light turns golden, the jungle feels like a movie set. By the time you return in the evening, you’re dusty, tired, and already talking about “what we’ll see tomorrow”… because one safari is never enough.
Restriction on Mobile Photography in National Parks
As per the recent order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the use of mobile phones for photography and videography is strictly prohibited inside all National Parks and Tiger Reserves across Central India and Maharashtra.
We request all guests to prepare accordingly for their jungle safaris.
To ensure you don’t miss out on capturing your wildlife moments, we can arrange an easy-to-use bridge camera for your safari experience. Please let us know in advance if you would like to reserve one.

Wilderness Beyond Tigers on the Tour
The Indian jungles offer far more than just the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger. I firmly believe in exploring the wilderness beyond tigers, appreciating the full spectrum of wildlife these ecosystems sustain. Our focus extends to a variety of other predators and prey species. Additionally, these forests are rich in birdlife, hosting both resident and migratory species, including several impressive birds of prey. Following our often encounters a diverse range of wildlife, with numerous sightings recorded throughout our tours.
What You’ll Learn on Tour with Harsh
When you sign up for a tour with Harsh, you’re not just heading into the wild – you’re stepping into a focused, hands-on photography learning experience.
Alongside unforgettable wildlife encounters, the tour includes-
Photography Fundamentals: Understand the basics of photography and learn how to take control of your camera beyond Auto Mode.
Image Processing: Get introduced to essential post-processing techniques to bring out the best in your photos.
Monochrome Masterclass: Learn how to convert your images into striking black-and-white frames with depth and drama.
Mobile Photography and Video: Master the art of shooting and editing high-quality photos and videos using your smartphone, practical, powerful, and pro-level.
These sessions are exclusive to tours led by Harsh and designed to help you grow as a visual storyteller, whether you’re carrying a DSLR or a phone. It’s a chance to grow as a photographer in the heart of the wild
Know Your Camera: On and Off the Field
If you’re new to photography or still finding your rhythm with the camera, this is where it all starts. During the tour, we don’t just go on safaris, we also slow down, observe, and learn. Whether you’re holding a DSLR for the first time or you’ve been dabbling for a while, we’ll walk you through the essential tools and settings that help you take full control of your camera.
Note: This photography session is available exclusively on tours led by Harsh. If your tour is guided by one of our other tour directors, this session will not be part of the itinerary.
The Missing Half of Your Photography: Post Processing
Click a shot that stops you in your tracks. Then sit with it—review the frame, the mood, the light. Tweak the tones, bring out the details, make it sing. Share it with your friends and family, and watch their faces light up. That reaction? That’s what makes it worth it. And as you go, start picking your favorites images that deserve more than a screen. The ones you’d proudly print for a coffee table book or hang on your wall. Moments that last.
Note: This photography session is available exclusively on tours led by Harsh. If your tour is guided by one of our other tour directors, this session will not be part of the itinerary.
Beyond Colors: The Monochrome masterclass
Black and white photography strips away the noise of colour and brings focus to light, form, and emotion. But to make a black and white image work, you need more than a simple desaturation. That’s where Silver Efex Pro stands out—it’s designed specifically for black and white editing, giving photographers powerful tools to shape tone, contrast, texture, and mood with precision.
Note: These monochrome sessions are available exclusively on tours led by Harsh. If your tour is guided by one of our other tour directors, this session will not be part of the itinerary.

Our Jungle Safari Vehicle
Safari vehicles play a pivotal role in capturing great photographs during jungle safaris. In India, the Maruti Gypsy 4×4 is commonly used for this purpose. These vehicles are designed with three rows of seats, accommodating up to eight passengers. Their open structure and elevated seating arrangement offer excellent visibility, enabling photographers to get clear, unobstructed shots of wildlife and landscapes. The 4×4 capability ensures that the vehicles can navigate through diverse and challenging terrains, bringing photographers closer to nature’s wonders. The front row is reserved for the park driver and park guide or naturalist. The center and back seats are occupied by guests or photographers.
We provide seating just two passengers per row for best comfort and convenience. This layout gives your gadgets more room and freedom to move about, so improving your photography experience. This arrangement guarantees enough room and flexibility for capturing the ideal view of the surroundings’ wildlife and landscape.

This wildlife tour is designed to focus on the wildlife but you will also experience some of India’s cultural marvels.

Yes I do (Harsh) because I am a passionate photographer and it is second nature for me to
instinctively have my camera in hand, but my first priority is to be available to you as a resource. The
areas we are visiting are already well scouted by us. We have spent quality time doing our research.
That’s why I don’t need a camera for my personal work. My camera is usually the last up and the first
down. When I am looking through my camera, I will be seeing things as a professional photographer.
The purpose will be just to check that we are at the right position or need to re-position the vehicle or
background is not distracting.
The best time to visit India for a tiger safari tour is from October to March. It gets really cold in the early morning in the months of November – March, so extra layers are advisable. vegetables and are a delight to your senses. Fresh, Simple, Locally grown, and Seasonal foods will be
served as per the taste buds of foreign (western) tourists. During safaris, packed breakfast will be
served. In Agra and Delhi, we will take our meals in well-appointed multi-cuisine restaurants. Our

any dietary needs or restrictions.

driver. During our safaris, we will be using 4-wheel drive, private, Safari vehicles in the National Parks.
